Curry Village

The front desk is efficient and nice. They are definitely helpful and always willing to make your stay better. They are also fast. Check in was easy. The tent was clean and had extra blankets. The space between tents and that it seemed they grouped like parties near each other was nice(families with families) Yosemite is beautiful and Curry Village is a fun way to pretend your camping without camping completely. We had an unheated tent which was a little uncomfortable until we covered the windows with blankets ĺjust be prepared for different weather. The food choices are basic here and you can access rhe shuttle easily to get to hikes and different places to eat. I highly recommend staying here if you want a fun experience!

It feels like glamping. A little cleaner than camping, but still camping. That means the floors of the cabins will be dirty with mud, but the bed is clean and an actual bed, there’s bathroom facilities out there in a short walk (but also with mud). Overall well planned, but it’s not a clean clean environment or vacation. There are signs about hantavirus everywhere

Being able to see the most popular sights like Half Dome, North Dome and Indian Rock right within Curry Village itself was amazing. The heated tent was spacious and was a very good choice, because temperatures in Yosemite Valley can dip to freezing all the way until April/May. We all loved how we were able to access trailheads and viewpoints either within walking distance, or at most a short drive away. There's a good variety of decent restaurants in the Curry Village/Yosemite Valley area, and food prices were surprisingly decent for the location we were in. Metal bear boxes (padlock not provided) were available outside each tent, which made bear-proof storage easy. Included free parking and entry permits for Curry Village guests would be huge plus during the peak summer months in Yosemite.

The obvious advantage is being right in the center of the valley, heating worked quite well and there is a bus stop nearby (for the free valley shuttle). You cannot properly lock yourself in (there's just a small latch) and all of your food needs to be kept in the bear proof box in front of your tent house. Everything was tidy and clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. Showers and restrooms are located in separate buildings (like 4 for the village) to which you have to remember the code given at check in. Wifi is there as well for some areas might be too weak, my tent was on the edge. There is just one chair (simple rack and beds and just one electrical outlet.

Camp Curry is an awesome way to experience Yosemite NP and the Yosemite Valley as well. The location is centralized in the park, has every amenity you need when camping (showers, dining hall, clean bathrooms), and is located very close to shuttle stops that take you everywhere in the park. The dining hall provides hot water, and guests can use two microwaves that are available. Since I visited solo, it was easy to heat pre-prepped food that I had brought over. Wifi isn't all too bad, but is only available in the dining hall. Staying at this camp is awesome if you're looking to truly experience the nature and beauty that Yosemite provides. The heated tents are a must for the colder seasons, but I can imagine the non-heated tents are great during warmer climate seasons.
